Just a blues progression played with bunch of “Smart” instruments in GarageBand. Check out the guest appearance by the Lego Brews Bros!
Spiral Staircase
This is just a circular chord progression that evolved into a musical story. It’s another piece that feels like it goes around in circles, and never really arrives anywhere. Hence the title…
So Many Ways
Just a tune for fun. Ever get confused by signs about which way to go?
Midnight Clydesdales
This started with the loop set of dark heavy rhythm guitars included in the GB app. I added the bass and drums first, then played some leads on the iPad fret board, and some on the keyboard with the rock guitar setting. ‘Tried to mimic the Judas Priest style. Did I get close?
Tribal Knowledge
GarageBand has a variety of drum kits and drum machines, and even has a screen of Chinese percussion. But there are no congas, bongos, timbales or any Latin or Afro percussion. So this is a collection of many if not most of the Latin persussion loops included in the first version from Apple.
Isn’t this typically what happens when you get a bunch drummers together in one place?
Creekside
Just a quick guitar tune that turned out to sound more country than rock. I was aiming for more of a Jerry Garcia style. Tried to use the glide on the synth to get a slide guitar, but it really sounds more like a vocal line.

Two Tangled
This is another experiment with loops and “Smart Instruments” in GarageBand using strings, string quartets and horns.

I Hear Voices
Yet another experiment with GarageBand loop samples of voices and vocals. Hence, the collection of singing heads. Would electronic acapella be an oxymoron?
In case it’s not already obvious, I don’t write lyrics or sing vocals on my compositions. If anyone is interested in submitting song lyrics or contributing vocal tracks, I am open to suggestions and submissions.

Neon Lights
There are over a dozen sample loops in GarageBand named Neon Light Something… (beat, guitar, keys). This is a quick composition of a bunch if not almost all those samples. Nothing fancy. Just fun. Enjoy!

Midwest Highway
An easy tune to cruise by for all my motorcycle riding friends. When all you have to see is miles and miles of miles and miles. Thank you to www.motorcycleroads.com for the background image. I added Matt and Ron into the scene just for fun.
