This is a couple of old bass lines we jammed on about 40 years ago! I didn’t name it, Dave did. Dave’s not here… anymore. I will always smile when I remember the tunes and times we had. Thanks Dave.
Panic & Paranoia
An audio illustration of what can happen when something doubles and doubles and doubles and doubles… like a virus!
This was originally titled Experiments in Scale.
I couldn’t resist the societal commentary.

Sllebralubut
Another mixed up melody from forty years back. This is a variation on a musical theme from a once-famous film. The Google sky image should be a clue. If you don’t already know, check the Artist name on Sound Cloud on this one, but don’t get too spun out of shape about it…
No loops or smart parts on this one, just lots of tinkering on the iPad.
Hot Pursuit
This is a quick fun experiment with loops all named Hot Pursuit in GarageBand. I just couldn’t resist the Lego police cruiser for this one.

Downhill Ride
Another one of those little melodies I’ve had rattling around in my head since I was a kid. No loops or samples in this one. Some of the parts had to get slowed to half tempo to play ’em on an iPad… This just makes me think of watching out for rocks and pot holes when riding downhill.

Cutting in the Conga Line
No no no!!! Not so close. You’re not observing Proper Social Distance!
Another experiment with Latin loops in GB. Just more fun with audio Lego.

Wah Th Funk?
Started with an old snare drum rudiment exercise applied to a kit. I wanted to get a Frank Beard – ZZ Top kinda sound, but getting a Billy Gibbons guitar sound on an iPad is WAY outa my reach! I had to use some “waka waka” guitar loops included in GB. This really needs to be at about 270 BPM, but my version of GarageBand only goes up to 240. C’mon guys! Why can’t the volume go to eleven and the tempo to 300? Didn’t you see Spinal Tap!!?

If Meat Would Flack
‘Started with a simple little drum part that sounded like something Mick would play. So if Mick played this and John played that, where would this end up? A fun experiment to try to imagine what might have been in their heads…
Anybody know where I can get Stevie Bricks a Lego tamborine?
I’m not a lyricist, so I really don’t know what this tune may have been about. If you have any ideas, leave a comment, and let me know.
Observing Social Distance
Don’t cough, sniffle or sneeze, or you’ll be out on the street! Keep your distance there Lego Larry! And remember to wash those hands…
These are just a few loops from Apple and a few smart instruments. This is a laid back tune to pass the time while we all chill at home. GarageBand is such an easy way to make up a quick jam. Is this really a tune, or just some audio color for your ears?

Swinging Around
This is a melody that’s been bouncing around in my head since I was a kid. There are almost no Smart Instruments in this one. Reminds me of Capn Jack staggering around as the Pearl sways from side to side.
