Just a blarney tune to dance to while ya down a pint and wiggle yer arse!

Another experiment cycling through 1-4-5-1 chord progression bones structures rotating keys in fourths. The arrangement starts with a typical rhythm section quartet, then gradually introduces strings to bring on some dissonant tension and drama.
Whada ya think? Leave us a comment…
Free for all jam on an iPad.
Electronic experiment with simulated acoustic echo and reverb. Synth bass and sample loops with large hall reverb. But where are the horns?
Most of you darn kids don’t even know what Morse code is, let alone what SOS means or the pattern to broadcast it.
Aaarh wee all sailin’ on a sinkin ship!?
Sure seems that way some days…
Hold your course! Don’t give up the Ship!
This is a arrangement of loops and samples from Garageband on an old iPad. Almost nothing here was played on any of the instruments in the program. Does this even have a key?
People are such social animals. How far will most people go to be “Part of the Heard” ? Sometimes the truth can be so Saad…
Synth and effect tinkering with a digi-drum backdrop. No loops or samples, just experiments on different keyboards and with echo and reverb.
I can’t resist. More socio-politico banter…
Are you Anti-vax!? or Anti-fax?! If everyone would just get the jab, we would all be safe from the inevitable pharmagedon, right?
We just want to keep you safe! (from yourself)
Bunch a Blarney Blues Band!
Just a jazz junk jig experiment. Blarney Blues Bros. Cheerz!
Happy St. Patty’s Day!
Where did the fab four record their last tracks?
No loops or samples. Just an experiment in two-handed keyboard kounterpoint. A warm sunny day with a slight breeze in a city neighborhood. You never know who you might see crossing the street…
I think it works, but don’t know why. The notes perpetuate the journey, but never seem to fin their way home. No samples or loops, just playing all the iPad instruments to uncover the themes inside. There’s a melody here that is screaming for a saxophone, but I had to use a french horn and a flute… Of all instruments, why is there no sax in GarageBand?!
So, if Ian Anderson ran into an audio engineer walking at the end of St. John’s Wood, who could that be and where? Leave me a suggestion. Better yet, subscribe to my blog, and find out next week.
Making music is about creating a feeling, and often telling a story. How can a story be told with no lyrics and no singing? Of course, this is the story of the British bombardment of Fort McHenry in Baltimore in 1814, as witnessed by Francis Scott Key. His lyrics were set to the melody of the anthem of the Anacreontic Society in Brittain. Hopefully, this tune helps illustrate America’s heritage of tenacity and determination to stand on fundamental principles no matter the cost.
“Those who can not learn from history are condemned to repeat it.” Destroying the tributes to historic achievements and their achievers does not right the wrongs of the past. It only assures future generations’ condemnation to relearn those lessons. What are the values at the core of our nation that must never ever be compromised?
